Trends S/S 2012: Part 5 Pablo Picasso & Fashion
I have a crush for this 3 pieces for Spring 2012 by Jil Sander.
The designer Raf Simons was inspired by a modern look at the '50 and brought for these pieces unique prints. The source of inspiration is Pablo Picasso's ceramic art. After the war, in Vallauris, Pablo Picasso started to modelled some small figures in his wokshop and constantly looked for new ways of expression. With only a very little brushwork he turned the ceramics (plate, bowls, pots ) into a painting "When a pice of pottery is painted, it becomes an image, in other words a sculpture" ( Pablo Picasso)
He created over 2000 ceramic work art.
